Arkat desired to gain the secret of magic from the sorcerer supreme of the Isle of Brithos, where he lived. So he came to the foot of Zzabur’s tower, unseen by the sorcerer’s demonic guards. He and his companions scaled the walls of the tower and snuck down into the sorcerer’s bedroom. He tiptoed past the sleeping sorcerer, avoiding his magical alarms. In the sorcerer’s library, he removed the Blue Book from its pedestal, which summoned a demon. He bound the demon, and slipped off into the night.
